Happy Tuesday babes!

October has been the busiest month of the year (if not life) for me and I'm just now realizing this is my first post of the month. WAIT WHAT? Boy can the 9-5 take over my life sometimes...

Now that we're in the middle of the season, we've had the opportunity to see fall trends grow from "just a street-style" thing to a "we're all doing it" thing. One of my personal favorites: the dress over shirt trend! Not only is it a nod to the 90's fashion we all know and love but it's also über practical as it's technically a layering game!

Keep on scrolling to see the three ways I took this trend and wrote 'Chelsea as of Late' all over it!

The Not-So-On-The-Nose
For this first look I decided to play around with a peep of lace! This is an unexpected "I didn't even know that was a shirt" way to take up the trend. I stuck to neutrals for an evergreen outfit that can work for Fall as it can for Spring!

DRESS: Thrifted // HEELS: Dune London // FRINGE BAG:  Ralph Lauren (similar here) // NECK TIE: American Eagle // LACE TOP: H&M (similar in black) // SUNNIES: Ray-Ban Aviators // LIPSTICK: Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick in Disorderly

The Happy-Go-Lucky

For this look I essentially said "skirt the rules" and threw on two completely different prints for a fun and vibrant vibe. I tied the outfit together by sticking to brown accessories- booties and sunnies- and grabbing my YAY clutch which blends seamlessly with the dress. This look can easily transition from fall to winter by throwing on a pea-coat and slipping on some tights!

MOCK NECK: H&M (similar here) // DRESS: SheIn // CLUTCH: Aldo Accessories // SUNNIES: Karen Walker // BOOTIES: Steve Madden (similar here and here)

The Street-Style Star

Everyone's favorite, this is the look that birthed the trend and took the AW street scene by storm! What I love about this look is how easy it is to recreate, using items you probably already own. Reach for that plain white tee and that slip dress you know you have somewhere and bam! For extra oomph I threw on a skinny scarf (á la Gigi Hadid) and chucked on my black low-top converse sneaks.

T-SHIRT: Thrifted (similar here) // DRESS: Mango (similar here)// CROSSBODY BAG: Kate Spade // SNEAKERS: Converse // SUNNIES: Ray-Ban //SCARF: Thrifted (similar here)

That's all for now lovelies! In the comments below tell me, what's your favorite trend this fall?
