We finally made it! The last day of our Arizona adventure. Feels like I've been writing about this trip forever. Truth is, it took me longer than expected to post these due to the vlogs I have been posting with each photo diary. But it's been well worth it.
This was our final day in Arizona and we were making our way down from Flagstaff to Phoenix to catch our red eye back to NYC. We had been advised the night before to take the Sedona exit for a scenic drive and of course, as good travelers who listen to locals, we did. This was exactly what we expected to see when we first booked our flights out west. Giant red mountains contrasted by the little greenery that surrounded them. Felt like we were straight out of a Wild Wild West film.
When the landscape starting changing from snow-covered mountains to red rocks and dessert, we pulled over the side of the road (living on the edge, I know) to snap a couple of photos and take in the view. It was at that time we decided we needed some fuel so we quickly researched a nearby spot which turned out to be one of my better meals in Arizona. The place (Indian Gardens) was the cutest cafe and market, with a perfectly situation back yard where just enough sun light beams through for you to enjoy the weather without being overwhelmed by the heat. Pure perfection. If you swing by here be sure to order the Bacon & Brie Melt sandwich. Thank me later;)
Once we reached Phoenix we had just enough time to shoot some look photos and grab dinner before heading to the airport. We ambitiously considered stopping by the dessert botanical garden, but then realized the entrance was 28USD p/p and decided to drink/eat that instead:D #GoodDecisions
Overall I can happily say I crossed off a bucket list item and welcomed my twenty-third year of life in the best company and with the most unbelievable views. So cheers to you life for being so damn good to me!
Till next time gorgeous Arizona.
