I'm by far the biggest advocate of being tourist in your own city. I think it's partly because I'm a half-nomad in the sense that I can't be still for too long, so if I ever choose to leave New York City behind I would like to think that I experienced the most I could of it. I get it, we're New Yorkers, creatures that are "too busy" by nature but it's so important to take time out to run up to a friend and say things like "hey, let's check out the view from the top of the Rockefeller center" from time to time.

And that is exactly what my BF and I did a couple of weeks back. It did take us 3 times (yes, you read correctly, T.H.R.E.E) to finally get up there as the lines are endless regardless of what day of the week it was but boy was it worth it! I mean you'd think being a local and seeing the Empire State building on a daily would make you sort of indifferent to the view but that is far from the truth. As soon as you step out of that elevator you are taken aback by your surroundings which consist of, well...the greatest city in the world.

I do recommend that you give yourself enough time to check this off your list since there is a possibility that you'll have to make multiple trips to their box office before you actually get to take that elevator ride. Also don't plan anything like lunch dates or dinner reservations too close in time to your visit; you want to allow yourself to stay up there as long as you'd like. But however you do it, if you're from or visiting New York, Top of the Rock is definitely a must.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend lovelies! Stay dry and Happy November!

OH and PS: Finally got my iPhone 6 in the mail so naturally I'll be über over Insta even more.
